How did I receive an Italian FM radio station in England?
The other day I was driving along listening to my ipod through an itrip transmitter on an unused signal in England (106.7 or something I think) and then all of a sudden it got really interrupted by another station. So I turned the ipod off to listen and it was an italian station, which was even strong enough to give an RDS name- R-Norba it was called. It lasted for about 15 mins and I’ve not been able to get it back again.
We can get French LW easily but I’ve never heard an Italian station in southern England!!
How did that happen?!
The master:
1- I was using an itrip fm transmitter
2- yes, live near southampton in hampshire
3- good plan
Weather conditions. Radio frequencies will bounce off of atmosphere. Overall conditions, clear day, pollution, all factors of you receiving the signal.
