Does the HP D2545 printer need a chip re-setter ?

Does the HP D2545 printer need a chip re-setter ?
I filled the cartridges with ink.
The cartridge light on the printer is blinking for the color ( telling me that the thing is empty ) , but the black took O.K. .
The color cartridge is full, but the printer is still not working.
Even if I try to print in gray-scale, the printer will not do anything.

I know that Epson printers need chip resetters, but I was hoping that this HP didn’t need one.

Thanks.
I took out the color cartridge and the printer allows me to print in black and white.

HP does ot have a chip resetter. Put back your old cartridge and if it worls, then change your new cartridge. If you refilled the cartridge, I am not surprise it doesn’t work. HP even void the warranty if use you refilled cartridges on account tht they often burn the print head on the printer.
Remove the power cable for 30 sec. Replug , open the top and close it . If that doesn’t reset, change the cartridge. its defective.
